Deaf help will be launched as a helpline for all hard of hearing and profoundly deaf people. It will be promoted for people to access help in every area of life.
Making G.P. appointments, solicitors and dentists etc. For making enquires regarding utility bills, emergency phone calls such as car breakdowns, floods etc. Complaints such as contacting a local council. Infact any problems whatsoever that may occur in everyday life.
With the onset of the computer technology age comes many problems for the hard of hearing, for example getting a balance on a mobile phone that you rely on for sms is impossible with Virgin. Finding your way through the maze of menu answer phones is a nightmare when you have full hearing, the hard of hearing find it frustrating even impossible.
This names but a few of the problems encountered everyday by these people, life would and could be a lot less irritating and frustrating if this project could get of the ground.
With the help of www.deafhelp.co.uk, faxes, mobiles, specialist equipment and telecom service will be used to help the very people this equipment was set out to help.
People with learning disabilities who will be working on a work experience program learning how an office is run will staff this company; these people will come from a locally based establishment called Enterprise Services. ATU (Adult Training Unit)
Hopefully with sponsorship and funding it is hoped that the lives of many people will be improved not only those with hearing difficulties but those wishing to learn to work in an office based establishment.
Your support would be gratefully received, thank you for your time.
